13-year-old Adam Reed mourns the death of his father, who died suddenly a year ago, when he finds an injured pilot hiding in his garage. This mysterious pilot is himself from a future where time travel has just begun, and has come back in time risking everything for a secret mission. The two embark on an adventure into the past together to find their father, make things right, and save the world. Both young and adult Adam face the loss of their father and have a chance to heal the wounds that have shaped them.
